Bowlegs School wants to keep you informed of Senate Bill 346 which is directly connected to reading proficiency and third grade graduation. Students will be tested three times a year with a state approved reading assessment. If your child is not reading at a proficient level, they will receive additional instruction during intervention times.
If your child is not performing at grade level in reading, and their reading deficiency is not remediated by the end of third grade, as demonstrated by scoring at the Unsatisfactory Level on the reading portion of the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Test (3rd grade achievement test), your child shall be retained in the third grade.
